Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. This role centers on merchandising and processing freight to keep the sales floor stocked and presentable.

Responsibilities include assisting with store operations, opening/closing procedures, safeguarding assets, following safety policies, and maintaining clean, organized areas while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
