Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to work alongside the Store Manager, lead a dynamic team of associates, and focus on merchandising and freight processing.

You’ll support store functions, assist with opening/closing, and maintain clean, organized stockrooms and sales floors while upholding safety and customer service. The role emphasizes collaborative, energetic teamwork and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and overall presentation.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
