Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to work alongside the Store Manager, leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You’ll assist with duties such as opening/closing procedures, maintaining store standards, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. This role offers growth in a fast-paced retail setting with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentable condition, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Support positive, safe, and respectful interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Assist with receipt/return of DSD merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise Needs, including frozen & refrigerated items, per productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Execute monthly Sales Planners.
