Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You will support the Store Manager in merchandising, directing a dynamic team, and processing freight to ensure a positive shopping experience for our communities.

You will assist with daily operations, uphold safety standards, and maintain presentation on the sales floor and stockroom. This role emphasizes teamwork and customer-friendly interactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock bathrooms; sweep and mop floors; take out trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen and refrigerated items.
