Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Cairo, GA to join and support the Store Manager in leading a team and driving merchandising and freight processing. The role emphasizes operations, customer service, and store standards.

You'll assist with daily store functions, open/close, protect assets, stockroom maintenance, and safety procedures, while ensuring a positive, energetic environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading a team of associates.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including cash.
• Maintain store areas to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process directives and ensure safe, clean, and presentable store environment.
• Plan and implement monthly sales activities and stock needs.
