Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Pittsburgh to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with all store operations, open/close procedures, stockroom upkeep, and ensure safety and policy compliance while delivering a positive customer experience. This full-time role requires strong communication and teamwork, with physical duties up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms; keep areas neat and presentable.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and teammates.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow and merchandise planning.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clip strips and power panels.
