Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight to ensure a high-performing store.

The role requires strong communication and team collaboration, and involves physical tasks such as lifting and stock movement while upholding safety and company standards. This is a full-time, in-store position at our Wilkes-Barre location.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
