Job summary

Scoular is seeking a Merchandiser Assistant I to support accounting and control procedures, including A/P and A/R, vendor management, and invoice reconciliation. The role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and teamwork while identifying process improvements to drive positive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates preferred.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proactively recommend process efficiencies and creative solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proven organization skills and prioritization of multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential materials.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Merchandisers and Controllers to provide timely and accurate records for product and freight positions.
• Deliver excellent service to customers and vendors, including timely processing of payments and resolution of problems.
• Actively monitor and create AR/AP, Freight Analysis, and other reports daily/weekly and resolve issues.
• Maintain an organized digital filing system for invoices, contracts, reports and payment receipts.
• Reconcile inventory balances with 3rd party locations monthly.
