Job description

Greet customers on sales floor, directing them to products or to parts specialist. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Greet customers on sales floor, assisting them in locating merchandise or directing them to parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
2. Check in, price, and put up stock.
3. Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and clean on a daily basis.
4. Make display changes according to company guidelines, planograms, etc.
5. Make all out-front price changes.
6. Ensure all "sale" signs are in place, sales flyer rack is stocked, maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display.
7. Remove all sale material when sale ends and restore original pricing.
8. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
9. Work with manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
10. Act as main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
11. Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
12. Clock in/out according to company policy.

Cashier

1. Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
2. Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
3. Whenever express lane is not being utilized and the counter is busy, assist customers by finishing tickets, taking money, checks, and credit cards, etc.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

1. Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, good interpersonal communication skills, good organizational skills.
2. Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
3. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
4. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
