Job description

Greet customers on the sales floor, direct them to products or to a parts specialist. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Greet customers on the sales floor, assist in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
2. Check in, price, and display stock.
3. Maintain merchandise on display floor, ensuring it is fronted, full, and clean daily.
4. Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
5. Implement all out-front price changes.
6. Ensure sale signs are in place, stock sales flyer racks, and maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display.
7. Remove sale materials and restore original pricing after sales end.
8. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
9. Collaborate with the manager to complete the store 'To Do' list and weekly team tasks.
10. Act as the primary deterrent for shoplifting and ensure front floor security.
11. Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
12. Clock in/out according to company policy.

Cashier Responsibilities

1. Check out customers purchasing merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
2. Handle merchandise returns efficiently and courteously.
3. Assist customers at the express lane when it is not in use, including finishing tickets and processing payments.

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities

• Required: Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
