Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Fairfax, VA seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

This role ensures accurate pricing and timely promotions, maintaining a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. Lead a team to execute SOPs, manage in-stock levels, planogram compliance, and backroom organization while ensuring a high level

Qualifications

3+ years retail leadership experience.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.
Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead SOP adherence and store programs to ensure compliance with requirements.
Execute truck, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards for a customer-ready store.
Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership alignment.
Oversee pricing accuracy, promotional execution, and shelf-ready merchandise flow to the floor.
Manage Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs and ASN receiving with accurate inventory adjustments.
Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
Maintain asset protection practices to reduce shrink and strengthen store controls.
