Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking aStore Manager to lead day-to-day operations, mentor team members and drive exceptional customer service. You will supervise staffing, training and performance while ensuring sales targets and store presentation meet company standards.

Candidate should have 1 year of management experience and 2–3 years in retail, with strong communication and conflict-resolution skills to foster growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store are helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide direction to the team.
• Ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to analyze financial information to inform decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across roles.
• Certifications in required store procedures completed.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance aligned with prime hours, product presentation and standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and identifies development needs.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Delivers consistent, fast and friendly customer service.
• Ensures training completion and safety standards are followed.
