Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. operates Michaels stores and is seeking a Merchandise Manager in the Los Angeles area. You will drive merchandising execution, pricing accuracy, and promotional activities while maintaining a customer-ready store environment.

Responsibilities include truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, visual standards, and staff development in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership for staffing and execution.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution to ensure merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment including backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promotional signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time, maintaining pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment ensuring orders are picked, packed and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with accurate documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
