Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in Cincinnati is seeking a Merchandise Production Specialist to efficiently process donated goods into sale-ready merchandise, utilizing LEAN principles to move items quickly and accurately. You will collaborate with production and retail teams in a fast-paced environment, supporting inventory and quality standards.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a focus on safety, customer service, and professional conduct.

• Basic comfort using technology and tools related to retail and production operations.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process merchandise to determine floor readiness per guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of brand names, designer labels, current trends, and vintage styles.
• Sort apparel into boutique/Ecommerce, sellable, and salvage categories according to quota.
• Accurately record and track processed donations using established tools and systems.
• Place items on hangers and group similar items.
• Meet daily quota for pieces processed.
• Follow safety and security practices including reporting hazards and injuries.
• Provide legendary customer service to donors and customers.
• Attend store meetings and trainings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance per uniform standards.
• Demonstrate a positive, cooperative, and solutions-focused attitude.
• Serve as a Goodwill brand ambassador on premises.
• Avoid unprofessional conduct on duty or property.
• Other duties as assigned
