Job summary

The Cole Family of Harley-Davidson Dealerships is seeking a General Merchandise Manager to lead the Motorclothes/GMB department at our Wytheville location. You will design compelling product displays, oversee inventory turns, and coordinate seasonal promotions in coordination with other departments.

Ideal candidates bring retail leadership, experience with POS systems, and a proactive, guest-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales and inventory control.
• Knowledge of Harley-Davidson General Merchandise servicing preferred or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience with POS and Parts & Service management software or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GM personnel are trained and available when needed.
• Design displays using fixtures, wall displays, show cases, mannequins, and window displays.
• Coordinate seasonal promotions with other departments.
• Review stock orders to maintain fast-moving GM inventory.
• Maintain sufficient stock to support demand and inventory turnover.
• Assist staff as needed.
• Monitor Inventory reports and operate the inventory control system.
• Ensure displays are clean and appealing.
• Set up an efficient retail environment for GM department.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and termination with Dealer Principal or GM.
• Maintain records of employee performance reviews.
• Weekend availability.
