Job summary

The Cole Family of Harley-Davidson Dealerships is seeking a General Merchandise Manager at Harley-Davidson – Wytheville, VA. You will lead the General Merchandise team, design attractive displays, manage inventory, and coordinate seasonal promotions to create a premier guest experience in a multi-point family dealership network.

Qualifications

• Experience with retail sales and inventory management.
• Prefer knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson General Merchandise, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale and Parts & Service management software or the ability to quickly learn due to general knowledge & experience with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure General Merchandise personnel are well trained and available when needed.
• Design displays for merchandise using fixtures, wall displays, show cases, mannequins and window displays.
• Regulate seasonal promotions and coordinate them with other departments.
• Review stock orders to ensure fast moving, balanced GM inventory; coordinate with P&A manager when possible.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of stock to support demand and inventory turn.
• Become familiar with all phases of the GM computer system, including generating Inventory reports.
• Supervise and maintain an accurate inventory control system.
• Ensure merchandise and displays are clean, dusted, and appealing to customers.
• Establish and manage departmental work schedules and sales quotas.
