Job summary

The Cole Family of Harley-Davidson Dealerships in Wytheville, VA is seeking a General Merchandise Manager to lead the Motorclothes department with energy and a guest-focused attitude. This role oversees displays, inventory, promotions, and staff, ensuring smooth operation and strong customer experiences while collaborating with the Dealer Principal or General Manager on recruiting and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with retail sales and inventory management.
• Prefer knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson General Merchandise.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale and Parts & Service management computer software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure General Merchandise personnel are well trained and available when needed.
• Design displays for merchandise, which are appealing to customers.
• Regulate seasonal promotions and coordinate them with other departments.
• Review stock orders to ensure fast-moving inventory and coordinate with P&A manager.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee inventory reports and control systems.
• Set up and maintain a smooth running, appealing retail environment for the General Merchandise department.
• Establish work schedules and sales quotas for General Merchandise staff.
• Assist Dealer Principal or General Manager with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and termination decisions.
