Job summary

Michaels Rio Grande, NJ is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. This role ensures accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading SOPs and company programs.
• Strong inventory control and shrink reduction capabilities.
• Planogram and visual merchandising experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy execution, store conditions, and results.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and floor flow.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines.
• Oversee planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support clean, organized store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, including stock movement and accuracy.
• Execute ad sets, pricing changes, and ship-from-store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving, with proper documentation.
• Manage shrink reduction through asset protection practices.
• Train and coach team members via onboarding and ongoing development.
