Job summary

Michaels in Rio Grande, NJ, is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution to create a customer-ready store.

You will lead workload planning, staff scheduling with store leadership, manage in-stock optimization, SOP adherence, and visual standards while training team members and supporting loss prevention.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure policy execution and maintain store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage for floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Plan workload and daily tasks with store leadership to align staffing and execution.
• Manage Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution and ensure accurate merchandising sets on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, customer-ready environment including backroom and sales floor recovery.
• Control inventory integrity and stock movement; manage pricing changes across shelves and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction efforts.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner on Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure safe operations.
