RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
2. Manage setup and maintenance of store displays, ensuring signage accuracy and promotion highlights, following corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates.
3. Handle store opening and closing procedures, including securing cash, locking doors, and setting alarms for smooth daily operations.
4. Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
5. Supervise daily activities of store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service.
6. Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
7. Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
8. Execute the market plan by arranging products and signage according to guidelines, and ensure promotional materials are displayed and updated properly, including inventory integrity processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
2. Minimum 2 years of management experience.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to multi-task, think creatively, and maintain composure under pressure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate cash register frequently.
2. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items from heights of 5-10 feet.
3. Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
4. Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly.
5. Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers face-to-face and via phone.
6. Assist customers and retrieve/store merchandise across the sales floor and stock room.
7. Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as needed.
8. Identify and interpret email and print instructions related to merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures.
9. Remain stationary and upright for approximately 80% of the time.

The pay range for this position is [$19.50 to $21.00 per hour]. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and location, with benefits, bonuses, and incentives potentially included.
