Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Merchandise Manager for our Chesapeake, VA store. You will drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, planogram sets, and visual standards, to ensure a customer-ready environment.

Key duties include leading SOP adherence, managing MOD coverage, and maintaining pricing integrity while optimizing stock movement and replenishment on a fast-paced retail floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain store conditions and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, stock flow, and workload planning with store leadership.
• Ensure in-stock levels through Store-In-Stock Optimization and accurate replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain backroom organization, inventory integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets, price changes, and promotional signage.
• Manage Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Address store damages procedures and shrink reduction; support asset protection.
• Train and develop team members and foster compliant operations.
