Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for our Falls Church, VA area store. You will drive merchandising execution, truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure a customer-ready store environment.

Responsibilities include leading SOP adherence, staff coaching, and ensuring accurate pricing, promotions, and stock levels. Expect standing work, lifting up to 25-50 pounds, and shifts including nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOP adherence and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Maintain in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy through SISO routines.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support clean, organized, customer-ready store environment.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, and stock movement.
• Execute promotional ad sets and accurate price changes.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage shrink reduction and asset protection practices.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
