Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including planogram sets, pricing, and promotional timing.

You will lead truck processing, inventory routines, and store presentation while upholding company standards and SOPs. In this role you will manage workload planning, in-stock optimization, ship-from-store, RTVs, and staff coaching to ensure a customer-ready environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to manage inventory, pricing, and visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with policies and requirements.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee SISO routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising to company standards.
• Manage pricing changes and ad sets to ensure accurate signage and product placement.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN receiving.
