Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in DeKalb, IL seeks an experienced retail leader to support store operations and drive sales.

You will partner with store leadership to manage SOPs, inventory control, visual merchandising, and customer service while coaching team members and ensuring a safe, compliant environment. This role requires hands-on leadership, willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 pounds)
• Strong knowledge of SOPs and store programs
• Proven ability to train and coach team members
• Experience with Planogram execution and inventory controls

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and enforcing SOPs and Company programs
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain service standards
• Lead truck unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to sales floor
• Plan workload and prioritize tasks with store leadership
• Oversee SISO routines to optimize in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy
• Ensure Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain pricing integrity and manage Ship from Store fulfillment
• Train and develop team members and support Asset Protection practices
