Job summary

Square Enix America seeks a Coordinator, Merchandise (Direct Sales) to support planning and execution of events, pop-up shops, and owned store launches to maximize sales, profitability, and fan engagement. The role involves research, budgeting, vendor communication, logistics, on-site setup, and post-mortem reporting across direct-to-consumer initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the toy and video game industries.
• Hands-on experience supporting consumer-facing events and pop-up shops.
• Extensive knowledge of Square Enix IPs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research on competitor direct sales activities, industry trends, customer behavior, and event opportunities; provide findings to the Senior Manager.
• Support planning and execution of events, pop-ups, and store-related initiatives to meet sales and profitability targets.
• Assist on-site events and store operations, including setup, merchandising, staff coordination, issue resolution, and customer experience optimization.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of project Deliverables.
• Prepare presentations, proposal materials, operational plans, and reports.
• Support creation and maintenance of project budgets, sales forecasts, and P&L analyses.
• Coordinate product shipment schedules, inventory allocation, and logistics for events and stores.
• Serve as point of contact for vendors and venues to ensure clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Conduct post-mortem analyses and provide recommendations for future initiatives.
