Job summary

Legends Global Merchandise is seeking a motivated Gift Shop Sales Associate for on-site work at Indiana University Bloomington. You will greet guests, recommend products, manage POS transactions, and maintain accurate inventory in a dynamic events environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, merchandising, and the ability to work extended, weekend, and event-based hours across multiple games and events. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Willing to work 75% of football, 75% of women's basketball, and 75% of men's basketball games each season.

Responsibilities

• Support the Gift Shop setup and merchandising of event shops.
• Merchandising skills are a plus.

The Role

Essential Functions

• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
• Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations
• Excellent accuracy when using POS systems
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items
• Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use
• Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. Assist in inventory
• Continually increase knowledge of product, and facility
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to read & implement plan-ograms
• Assist the Gift Shop set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-ograms, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures
• Merchandising skills a plus
