Job summary

Legends at Indiana University Bloomington seeks an energetic retail team member to create an exciting store experience. You will greet guests, recommend products, and process sales with accuracy using POS systems. The role includes stocking, merchandising, and supporting event-driven turnovers.

You’ll need strong customer service, be able to work long hours during games, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible hours and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this busy venue setting.

The Role

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
• Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations
• Excellent accuracy when using POS systems
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items
• Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use
• Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts.
• Assist in inventory
• Continually increase knowledge of product, and facility
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to read & implement plan-o-grams
• Assist the Gift Shop set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures
• Merchandising skills a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be willing to work 75% of football games each season, 75% of women's basketball games each season, and 75% of the Men's basketball games each season.
• Flexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas
