JCPenney, part of Catalyst Brands, is seeking an Assistant Manager of Merchandise to lead associates, manage merchandise standards, and drive profitable sales growth through training and execution.

You will oversee in-stock levels and visual presentation, support omnichannel initiatives, and drive specialty businesses like Fine jewelry and Window & Mattress events while developing staff and upholding performance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise Execution: maintain in-stock levels through replenishment; lead store visuals.
• Customer Service and Sales: coach team to deliver outstanding service and engage customers.
• Omnichannel: train and coach on Omnichannel initiatives and processes.
• Specialty Businesses: drive sales in Fine jewelry, Window & Mattress, and plan events.
• Team Development: hire and train hourly staff and coach on performance.
• Performance Standards: meet shrink, safety, scheduling, engagement, and profit targets.
