Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Privacy Act, and DoD standards. You will review records, conduct histories and physical exams, interpret tests, and communicate findings to staff.

This on-site role covers multiple MEPS locations in the United States. Qualified candidates hold an MD or DO, with license to practice in the US; three years of graduate medical training or equivalent experience are

Qualifications

• Requires Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from US/Canada-accredited school; valid license in US/state or territory.
• 3 years of graduate training in specialty or equivalent experience.
• CAC/PIV preferred; ability to obtain CAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants per DoD standards.
• Review medical records, histories, and physical exams; interpret diagnostic tests.
• Identify disqualifying conditions and coordinate with consultants and waiver authorities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the USMEPCOM database.
• On-site duties at one of MEPS locations and possible shift/ weekends.
