Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DoD, Privacy Act, and USMEPCOM standards. On-site duties at MEPS locations involve histories, exams, test interpretations, and documenting in MHS Genesis.

The role requires current NP license, board certification (FNP/ANP/Adult-Gerontology NP/Acute Care NP), and ability to obtain CAC/PIV; prior MEPS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral NP degree required; board-certified in one of the specified specialties.
• Active NP license in any US state or territory; ability to obtain CAC/PIV considered.
• Minimum 1 year post-graduate patient care experience within last three years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical histories and exams for military applicants to assess eligibility.
• Review test results and histories to determine medical qualifications.
• Lead mental health and general health assessments with specialists as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and handle military documentation per standards.
