Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to conduct MEPS interviews across the United States. The role involves in-person and computer-assisted interviews, traveling for training and field work, and coordinating with a field supervisor. Work is part-time with two data collection periods each year.

Begin with mandatory training in January 2027, including travel requirements and potential overnight stays. The position includes data submission, adherence to security rules, and eligibility for overtime

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study training between Jan 4–Jan 15, 2027.
• Attend mandatory in-person training with travel on Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Complete post-training web-based activities and home study between Jan 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Transmit data daily when in the field and complete required administrative paperwork.
