Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS project in the United States. Field Interviewers conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults, travel to training sessions, and manage schedules and data collection with a focus on confidentiality and quality.

Positions are part-time with two annual data collection periods, requiring travel and weekend/evening hours when needed. Training is mandatory, and eligibility for benefits grows with hours worked.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter binding confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training, including travel on January 19, 2027 and training from January 20–25, 2027.
• Available to complete post-training web-based and virtual training activities, including a home study between January 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation, set appointments, and complete interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily on work days and collect signed documents.
