Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to support the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), a national study on health care costs and usage conducted for AHRQ. The role requires in-person interviews, travel to households, and data collection across rounds with mandatory training in January 2027.

This part-time, non-exempt position offers overtime pay and requires consistent data transmission and adherence to data security standards.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based training between January 4–15, 2027.
• Attend in-person training January 19–25, 2027.
• Complete post-training home study between January 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Schedule and complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with confidentiality requirements.
