Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking an experienced construction Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale projects in New Jersey. You will oversee subcontracted crews, manage schedules, costs, quality, and safety compliance to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of field supervision experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a proven ability to coordinate multiple subs while upholding stringent safety and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience should include supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well-developed communications, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains reports describing project status.
• Oversees timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives; large projects may have multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects.
• Analyzes manpower, materials, equipment requirements and interfaces with supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules.
• Prepares reports and forecasts and informs supervisors on progress of assigned activities.
• Coordinates Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities.
• Manages QA/QC and understands client engineering specifications or requirements.

Job description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost-effectivefield coordination, quality control andday-to-daysupervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub-contractor activities within ground up construction projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Coordination of Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam
• Manage QA/QC and understanding of client engineering specifications or requirements.

• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.

Salary: $165,000 - $205,000
