Job summary

STO Building Group through LF Driscoll is seeking a Traveling MEP Superintendent to support data center projects across the Northeast and Midwest. This role oversees field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces on construction sites.

The position requires strong leadership, safety stewardship, and the ability to manage multi-site activities, coordinating with Project Managers and clients to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience with supervisory roles such as General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules and track status.
• Coordinate field activities and supervise subcontractors.
• Review project progress with Project Manager and clients.
• Ensure safety standards are followed on site.
• Direct subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects.
• Analyze manpower, material, and equipment needs and coordinate with supervision.
• Enforce field policies, procedures and work rules.
• Prepare reports/forecasts and inform supervisors on progress.
• Coordinate lock-out tag-out with subcontractors for utilities.
• Oversee QA/QC and ensure compliance with client specs.

Job description

L. F. Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is looking to hire a Traveling MEP Superintendent to support our data center projects in the Northeast and Midwest regions. The Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effectivefield coordination, quality control andday-to-daysupervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost-effectivefield coordination, quality control andday-to-daysupervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub-contractor activities within ground up construction projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Coordination of Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam
• Manage QA/QC and understanding of client engineering specifications or requirements.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well-developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills are required.
