MEP Site Manager – Field Operations Lead

Job summary

Gray Construction seeks a Site Manager, MEP to join our Field Operations Team in site-and project-based capacity. The role supports the MEP Project Manager and leads on-site activities from pre-start to completion.

You will coordinate subs, monitor schedules, manage safety programs, review drawings, and help ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery with strong collaboration across trades.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required.
• Ten years of construction experience, or 15 years with no degree, in lieu of degree, is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate.
• Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
• Assist in the preparation of various reports (cost to complete, monthly billings, status reports).
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural) when issued to field and maintain a current set.
• Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work, including subcontractors.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the project.
• Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards per company and industry standards.
