Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Sales Engineer in Gaithersburg, MD to bridge engineering design with commercial strategy for HVAC projects. You will develop project solutions, prepare estimates, and lead technical work during preconstruction to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will engage with clients, engineers, vendors and subcontractors to uncover opportunities, qualify projects, and translate requirements into actionable plans for internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical design background with ability to translate customer challenges into engineered solutions.
• Business development experience with general contractors and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project solutions to bring value to existing customers and win bid opportunities.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for HVAC systems for commercial projects.
• Act as the technical point of contact during the preconstruction phase, ensuring technical accuracy.
• Stay current on codes, standards, and requirements to guide customers and ensure compliance.
• Engage with customers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to uncover opportunities and define project scopes.
