Job summary

CP Engineers in Kentucky seeks a Project Manager to lead MEP engineering projects for industrial and manufacturing clients from concept through construction. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets, schedules, and client communications.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of project management experience in the MEP field, strong leadership and relationship-building skills, and a solid grasp of building systems design and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in engineering project management.
• Experience managing MEP projects in industrial facilities.
• Experience in sectors such as pharmaceutical, food processing, automotive, warehousing/logistics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong ability to engage with clients and build trusted relationships.
• Understanding of building systems design and construction processes.
• Proficiency with PM software for planning, reporting, and analytics.
• PMP, LEED, or Six Sigma are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP engineering projects for industrial and manufacturing clients from concept through construction.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules aligned with client expectations.
• Oversee staffing, scope changes, contract compliance, profitability, invoicing, and receivables.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams; foster strong client relationships.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire protection.
• Contribute to engineering reports, design drawings, technical specs, permit applications, and bid documents.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays, and design conflicts; monitor profitability.
• Support business development through proposals and client opportunities.
