Job summary

Kimmel & Associates, a nationally recognized construction management firm, is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on a major data center project in Columbus, OH.

You will serve as the primary on-site coordinator for MEP systems, driving schedule, quality, safety, and budget performance while coordinating with field leadership, design teams, subs, and ownership representatives. On-site 4–5 days per week in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in construction project management.
• Direct data center project experience required.
• Strong expertise in MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage complex subcontractor coordination and system integration.
• On-site presence 4–5 days per week; strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all MEP scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
• Managing subcontractor coordination and performance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades
• Driving procurement of long-lead MEP equipment and materials
• Monitoring installation sequencing to maintain schedule milestones
• Leading MEP coordination meetings and resolving field conflicts
• Reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and commissioning plans
• Managing change orders, cost tracking, and forecasting related to MEP systems
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Supporting successful commissioning and turnover of mission-critical systems
