Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an MEP Project Engineer to support major data center projects in Temple, TX and Austin, TX. You will oversee MEP construction activities, review drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers to ensure alignment with project requirements.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of construction engineering experience with MEP data center exposure; a four-year degree is preferred and PE/FE is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction engineering experience preferred.
• MEP, electrical, mechanical experience on a data center project.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• PE or FE (a PLUS)

Responsibilities

• Support the technical execution of MEP construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate MEP subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, owners, and the project team.
• Support procurement of materials and equipment and integrate procurement activities with the project schedule.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and closeout requirements.
• Assist with cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, and project reporting.
• Support field teams with technical issues and help ensure installations align with project requirements.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
