Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior MEP Project Engineer to support a large data center construction project in the San Antonio area. The role oversees the construction process from preconstruction through commissioning and handover, with a strong focus on CSA/MEP scopes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of project engineer experience on construction projects (5+ years preferred) and a solid grasp of scheduling, procurement, and project controls, plus familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Project Engineer on construction projects; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience managing CSA and/or MEP construction scopes.
• Proficiency with scheduling, procurement, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Support scheduling, forecasting, budget tracking, and contractor billing reviews.
• Track procurement activities, long-lead materials, and OFCI/CFCI equipment.
• Support commissioning, startup, testing, and project closeout activities.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Facilitate design reviews and construction coordination meetings.
• Support site safety initiatives and collaborate with project teams.
