Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior MEP Project Engineer to support a large data center construction project in the San Antonio area. The role oversees the construction process from preconstruction through commissioning and handover, with a strong focus on CSA/MEP scopes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of project engineer experience on construction projects (5+ years preferred) and a solid grasp of scheduling, procurement, and project controls, plus familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

• Track procurement activities, long-lead materials, and OFCI/CFCI equipment.
• Support commissioning, startup, testing, and project closeout activities.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Facilitate design reviews and construction coordination meetings.
• Support site safety initiatives and collaborate with project teams.

Senior Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) San Antonio Area, Texas

We're seeking a Senior MEP Project Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale data center construction project in the San Antonio area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical project team responsible for overseeing the construction process from preconstruction through commissioning and handover.

The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background with experience across CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and/or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) scopes. Data center experience is preferred but candidates from commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, mission-critical, or other complex construction environments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, procurement, and project controls.
• Experience with complex construction projects.
• Data center experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
