Intelligent Solutions Axis Inc. in the Washington, DC area seeks an experienced MEP Project Engineer to oversee mechanical and electrical systems for construction projects. You will lead project teams, coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, and manage budgets, schedules, RFIs, and quality control.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical depth in MEP systems, and strong communication to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with design requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with standard engineering software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure efficient system installation.
• Prepare and manage contract item lists for components, materials, and systems.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide accurate information.
• Evaluate and manage RFI processing.
• Manage project budget and change orders.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor assistant MEP engineers.
• Co-lead MEP coordination to ensure design and quality standards.
• Prepare scope of work documents for trades and temporary operations.
• Coordinate with MEP superintendent to resolve conflicts and site logistics.
• Co-lead turnover, start-up, testing, commissioning, closeout.
• Conduct regular project walkthroughs to ensure contract compliance.
• Inform field staff of installation requirements.
• Obtain municipal and agency documentation as needed.
• Create and implement quality control plans.
