Job summary

Kimley-Horn seeks a Mechanical Engineering Analyst to join the Portland, Oregon office on the MEP team. With 2+ years of experience, you will analyze deliverables, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to meet our clients’ future-built environment needs.

The candidate must hold an ABET‑accredited ME degree, have or pursue EIT certification, and be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $135,000 annually, with strong teamwork and a proactive work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Clear sense of urgency and initiative to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; exposure to Pipeflo.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and produce deliverables using technical software.
• Solve problems and assist project managers across disciplines.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and standards.
• Perform mechanical engineering tasks: dry/wet systems, piping, floor plans, flow diagrams, calculations.
• Support multi-discipline collaboration on large-scale building systems.
• Projects may include Advanced Technology, Industrial, Micro-electronics, Mission Critical, Hospitals.
