Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Westlake, Texas office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer or Analyst with 2+ years of design experience to join our MEP team. The role focuses on electrical design, code compliance, and coordination with cross-discipline teams.

The candidate will prepare design plans, cost estimates, and reports, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree a plus.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; BIM experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, energy codes; familiarity with SKM/ETAP.

Responsibilities

• Support Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing on large scale projects.
• Participate in project teams and client meetings.
• Prepare electrical design plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Develop reports and design documents; perform load calculations.
