Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an MEP Specialist to coordinate the MEP trades on major construction projects. You will work with the project team to ensure the successful completion of all MEP trade work and lead subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the owner.

Candidates should have 3–6 years (Step I) or 6–9 years (Step II) in Construction/MEP Coordination, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and proven experience with subcontracts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred).
• 3–6 years of construction/MEP coordination experience (Step I) or 6–9 years (Step II).
• Experience with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Schedulers and site personnel with developing CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading.
• Assist in developing startup plans for the start‑up of MEP systems and commissioning with the project team.
• Conduct site visits to review subcontractor installation quality, identify deficiencies, and resolve issues with the project team.
• Coordinate activities, materials procurement and related tasks with the Project Manager and field staff, and prepare reports as needed.
• Facilitate 3D coordination to resolve conflicts prior to installation start.
• Interface with the assigned CxA and manage commissioning documentation (pre-functional checklists, startup checklists, tests).
• Lead MEP subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to owner.
• Provide warranty support and resolution plans for open items.
• Represent Sundt Construction in MEP discussions at weekly meetings with owner and contractors.
• Review all MEP submittals for compliance with design criteria and contract.
• Coordinate project logistics and approve MEP material/equipment prior to installation.
