Job summary

LF Driscoll is seeking an MEP Estimator to develop, prepare, and maintain MEP cost estimates for multiple projects in early development stages. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure pricing accuracy and adherence to client specifications.

You will manage several bids totaling $50–$150 million per year, utilize estimating software, and stay current on codes and cost trends.

Qualifications

• BS or BA required in construction, management, engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years in estimating, construction engineering, project engineering, or related duties in general contractor estimating.
• Open to those moving from field operations into preconstruction.
• Strong computer, budgeting, purchasing and organizational skills.
• Healthcare project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings to develop cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and ensure complete plan review.
• Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain centralized cost estimating database and standard costing procedures.
• Attend client meetings to discuss pricing and resolve issues regarding estimates.
