LF Driscoll is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to develop and prepare construction mechanical/plumbing cost estimates for diverse projects in early development. You will manage multiple projects, review plans, produce takeoffs, and lead bid development with subcontractors.

You will join a team focused on healthcare, life sciences and data center sectors, ensuring accuracy, timely estimates, and alignment with project goals. This role supports preconstruction with cost updates throughout.

Qualifications

• BS or BA required in construction, management, engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, construction engineering, or related duties.
• Open to candidates transitioning from field operations to preconstruction.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office/Excel) and budgeting/organizational abilities.
• Honesty, accountability and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for Healthcare, life sciences, and Data Center projects.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships; solicit subcontractor bids.
• Obtain 3-5 bids per trade; review bids for conformance to specs and costs.
• Attend client meetings and support pricing, change orders, and site visits.
• Manage cost estimating database and analyze completed projects for improvements.
