Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking an MEP Estimating Manager to oversee estimating needs across multiple projects in New York. The role leads the MEP estimating process from design through bid, collaborates with operations, purchasing, and scheduling teams, and guides a team of estimators to deliver accurate cost plans.

The position requires a senior level background in MEP estimating on complex commercial projects, with strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• 9-15+ years of progressive commercial MEP estimating and preconstruction experience.
• Experience leading MEP estimating efforts on large-scale, complex commercial projects (up to $500M).

Responsibilities

• Leads the MEP estimating process for multiple concurrent projects through design phases.
• Reviews drawings to develop scope narratives and prepares preliminary cost estimates.
• Mentors estimating staff and coordinates with operations, purchasing, and BD teams.
