Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking Project Managers with varying levels of experience to support a large hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Project Manager will profitably manage all administrative and field activities to quality standards while maintaining relationships with stakeholders on assigned projects.

This role may oversee multiple medium projects or a single large, complex one. The PM is expected to demonstrate leadership by following company standards, achieving shared

Qualifications

• At least five years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams successfully.
• Strong business acumen, client relations, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with project management software (JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project schedules; address long lead items; update plans as required.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and scope reductions; ensure safety plans.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts; manage buy-out processes; identify constructability issues.
• Ensure adherence to contracts, budgets, insurances, bonds, and scope; manage staff assignments.
• Provide staff development guidance and support; handle disciplinary actions when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
